"Bandon Oregon Sunset"
By Stephen Oachs

The exceptional sandy beaches of southern Oregon are known for their beauty, and their public accessibility. They also sport fantastic examples of amazing sea stacks, the haunting geological remnants of marine terraces being eroded by the power of the salty Pacific Ocean.

These ancient markers of time silently watch the diminishing sun light from their view along this Bandon, Oregon beach.

"Wonderful seascape here with a terrific composition and dynamism created by those foam lines that go around all these terrific sea stacks. This fluid shapes it resulted in are amazing and contrast so well with the rough texture of the rocks. On top of everything, a lovely mood given by the warm low light. Superb work! Bravo!"

"This is really, really beautiful. But I disagree. These "ancient markers of time" don't watch silently. They moan in freakish misery.....being constantly eroded by the relentless torturous waves. Longing for the day that there battle will end...and they will collapse into the icy waters. Their stoney corpses finally at rest on the ocean floor. "

"OK Stephen, so I just noticed this image is your work. Wow, it is really an exciting image, so very well taken. I assume a little HDR? When I see a great image, I like to point out that of all the great elements within the image, it first takes a special vision to begin the capture. You most certainly possess that here...Well done!!
