"Wow this is very nice composition. It must have been freezing cold out there but your boldness to go out and shoot was well rewarded by this shot. I like the colours and the scene is outstanding. Did you use a polarizer filter here. I think the exposure could have been a little less making it a better picture..."

"Hello Ratnajit, thanks for the feedback. Yes, it was perhaps the coldest I've ever been, but the scene was so captivating I had to keep going. I did not use a polarizer here, but did use a 2-stop soft-step ND grad filter to control the brightness of the sky a bit. Darkening the exposure (via bracketing) was resulting in less-than-white snow, so I went with this frame."

"Eastern Sierras along Highway 395 is one of my favorite places to shoot, so I recognize this great old cabin. Taken a few pics of her myself, but you got a great one here, with fresh snow and the peaks wrapped up in clouds. "
