	VOTE:	"The Staring Match" By Peter Lazaravich This photo was taken October 12, 2009 at the Arizona State University Research Park. The kid in the photo got even closer, and ended up petting the wild Pelican. Shot with Canon XS at 70mm f 5.6 1/1000.

"I gave you top marks because of the content. This is a fantastice shot, one wonders what is going on in both of those heads. I can see the wheels turning! Reading the comment above, the Pelican could be a young one from last year and has little contact with people."
