"Hi Thanks for the comments and votes. When you shoot lightning you do get a lot of purple tones. There are a lot of factors out there. If you use the tungsten white balance it will get the shots to more blue. The is a custom white balance to how I saw it and what it looked like. On the right in the clouds is the color of the reflection of the tungsten from the city lights."
