:: Submission Guidelines & Rules for Entry ::

• There is no entry fee for submitting to Photo of the Day.
• All images submitted must be by the copyright owner/photographer; do not submit a photograph you didn't take yourself.
• Copyright holder retains all rights to the image.
• Photo to be submitted must be a .jpg file.
• Photo must be a minimum of 640 pixels on the longest side.
• Photo file size must be no larger than 1MB.
• For best display quality, photo should have a resolution of 72 PPI.
• No watermarks or signatures on photo, please.
• You may submit as many of your individual photographs as you like.

The daily pick is a selection from among the best of the previous day's submissions. The winning photograph, referred to as the POTD, is posted at midnight, Pacific Standard Time. Viewer votes can be entered any time during the 24 hours the photograph is displayed.

Winning photographs are selected by Aperture Academy's judging panel, which is made up of a diverse selection of discriminating and creative people, and is always represented by at least one professional photographer. The judging panel's decision is final.

Past winners are displayed as a thumbnail image in the Winner's Gallery calendar. To view the full image, its description and viewer comments, click the thumbnail image. Viewers who have not yet rated these photos can visit them in the gallery and cast a vote.

PLEASE NOTE: You will receive a daily e-mail, which announces the new day's winner. If you wish to no longer receive these emails you may opt-out by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email you receive from us. Your email address will instantly be removed. Note that if you re-submit future images that your email address reactivated and thus you will need to opt-out again.

• By submitting a photo, you grant ApertureAcademy.com the right to post, edit, link to, display and archive your image without monetary remuneration, for an indefinite period of time. Furthermore, you agree to allow Aperture Academy to use your image in the promotion of ApertureAcademy.com for no other compensation than visible mention of your name and/or company and credit as the copyright holder.
  
  
• Your e-mail address will not be shared with any outside parties, and will only be used for site updates, to send daily e-mails when opted in, and to notify you if there is an issue with your submitted image(s). NOTE: By posting a comment and/or submitting a photograph, you are opting in to Aperture Academy's confidential mailing list, which includes POTD e-mails and site updates. You can be removed by sending an e-mail request to info@apertureacademy.com.
